I'm always on the look-out for more natural alternatives to mainstream products (including cosmetics) that still do what they're suppose to do, with no compromise.
I recently tried Erzulie Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and this one's definitely a product that not only stacks up favorably compared to mainstream eye makeup removers, it actually exceeds all the brands I've tried in the past. And there's been quite a few, over the years.
-Erzulie Gentle Eye Makeup Remover comes in a generous 2 ounce sqeeze bottle.
-It has a pleasant, mild fragrance, definitely not over the top in this respect, and that's a good thing.
-A little goes a long way.
-Non-greasy, it has a soft, gel consistency.
-Very reasonably priced at $6.
-An ingredient list that's hard to beat:
"Organic Ingredients:
Olive Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Vegetable Wax, Sunflower Oil, Castor Oil, Citricidal (Grapefruit Seed Extract), Lavender Essential Oil."

And best of all, it really works!
I don't wear eye shadow but I do wear mascara and eyeliner on a fairly regular basis and with one swipe of this product on a warm washcloth, voila....it's all gone. And no red, runny eyes afterwards either.
Here is some additional information about this product from Erzulie Cosmetics:
"This highly effective, moisturizing eye makeup remover really works!! It easily takes off all eye makeup. Liner, waterproof mascara, eye shadow, ect. A small amount goes a long way and its all natural, organic and vegan. I was having trouble finding a formula that actually worked and I hate putting chemicals in and around my eyes.
Who said oils were bad for you?All these oil- free formulas are loaded with chemicals. Oils help new lashes grow and keep them healthy.
So here it is my dream eye make up remover formula. creamy and super soft. Restores beautiful lashes. Great as an intense moisturizer too!!

I've been a fan of Erzulie Cosmetics for years. I previously reviewed their liquid foundation and eye depuffer balm (click to read my complete reviews) which are two of the many Erzulie Cosmetics that I use on a regular basis.
Stop by Erzulie Cosmetics over at Etsy or at the Progress in Health site that offers not only Erzulie Cosmetics but many other outstanding natural product lines. This is a company that provides consistent quality, reasonable pricing and customer service that is hard to beat.
Overall rating for this product: Excellent. 5 out of 5.

Ooohhh! Jen needs to try that!
ReplyDeletewow that's great, I only wear a line small brown or darkish but yes the eyes always run after, I'm going to look for it in my Health Food, all Organic Store called SOL
ReplyDeleteI'm naturally dark-olive skinned so don't need anything and in the summer well I become a gypsy again...
Unfortunately I can't wear any eye makeup because of severe allergies..but if that ever goes away, I am going to find this brand. I've never liked the slick oily chemical laden popular brands...
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
Jen
Thank you, Geraldine, because I've been searching for an eye makeup remover that doesn't irritate and this sounds perfect! I hope I can get it in my area.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see more and more natural products and companies that are making them.Great review.
ReplyDeleteHi Rumpy, I hope Jen does, I think she'll like it!
ReplyDeleteHi Lorraine, Great product and available online at the links I've provided above. I've asked Rhonda at Erzulie Cosmetics to stop by and share retail store options too.
Personally, I order a lot of products online and like the convenience of having things delivered right to the door and to be able to browse extensively online, before I decide!
Hi Jen, Oh, that's too bad Jen. I hear you, re: the oil slick types of these products. I remember them well and how yucky they were to use. Didn't work all that well either.
Hi Talon, I'm so glad you're back to blogging! I think you'll like this product. Hopefully available in your area and definitely available online, as I've mentioned above.
Hi Joe, I totally agree. This is a growing trend that makes me so happy and there's no end in sight for natural product lines, of all types, including cosmetics. Organics too of course. Great to see!
Wishing you all a very happy week, G
Hello Ladies!

I have several all natural color cosmetics, skin care and acne treatments available. As well as Men's and baby products. Be sure to type Integrity in the coupon code for an additional 10% off your order. For international orders, shipping has unfortunately increased but the larger the order, the shipping is discounted. Thanks again for all your support and I look forward to answering any questions you may have or assisting in color selections. Namaste!
Interesting. I wonder if this product is sold in the UK. I must investigate. Because of severe eye irritation I had to stop wearing mascara. It wasn't the mascara that was causing it, but the remover. I do still wear eye shadow but fortunately that comes off with my normal cleanser.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, Thanks for stopping in and for sharing this additional information. :<)
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie, I think online is the way to go for ordering from Erzulie, the links are included above to Rhonda's two sites. With such reasonable prices (and not just for this remover) the additional postage charges still keep total cost at a very reasonable level, especially compared to other brands.
I agree, it's often the remover that's the culprit, not other types of eye makeup. If you give this one a try, do let me know!
Happy Week, G :<)
