Physicians Formula Organic Wear Pressed Powder

I've been on a quest in the past few weeks to find the perfect face powder: veil/glow/dust/powder foundation etc....so many names to chose from now for what's still basically face powder!

Well, sad to say, I haven't found it yet.

Physicians Formula now has a complete line of Organic Wear makeup products. That's great! Every time I see a company add a natural/and or organic product line, I'm pleased and encouraged that consumer demand is finally getting the point across to these companies. We ARE reading the ingredient lists and we do deserve better than having a "chemical soup" for choices when it comes to what we put on our skin, hair, nails not to mention what we eat (of course that's another huge topic and I've got several food product reviews coming soon...).

I recently tried the PF Organic Wear Pressed Powder. Well, it's ok but it's not great. The texture of this powder is just not fine enough in my opinion. It's messy to apply. The brush provided is a joke, something you'd expect in a kid's version of powder makeup.

The container is another thing I'm not happy with. The lid doesn't securely close so that when storing in your purse or drawer, you still need to leave it in the cardboard box it came in. There is also a lid on the bottom of the pkg. (for the brush) and that also doesn't close securely.

I'm using this product for now but I'm still looking for something better. If any of you have found the perfect natural face powder, let me know. There are a lot of choices out there. But as with most products we use again and again, it only takes one winner to make for a happy consumer!

Why Marry a Millionaire by Wendy Robbins

Where do I start with this book?

Before I read it, I had high hopes based on the hype I had noted online regarding this book. The reality, well in my opinion, it's not anything new or noteworthy. Most of the information in this book is a "rehash" of what's been said again and again in numerous "get rich quick" books, schemes and free/paid information online.

Having previously read: Cash in a Flash, the first thing that struck me about this book was how similar it was to CIAF. Robert Allen and Mark Hansen, co-authors of CIAF have also endorsed Ms. Robbins book, singing it's praises in the reviews. Go figure eh? What do they say about flattery? LOL

I did read the entire book, in spite of my reservations and being bored, turning page after page, trying to see what anyone could find unique about the information presented. Wendy Power, oh yeah, that's it...the magical method of making millions, remaining blissful and without even trying! For good measure, Ms. Robbins throws in a comment or three about "saving the world" in the process of getting rich. Lofty goals all around. Oh, if only it were that easy.

What I really got a laugh from was noting on the Amazon page for this book that Ms. Robbins actually wrote a review for herself! Check it out here. Now that's got to be a first. I've read a lot of book reviews over the years and this is the first time I've actually noted an author writing one for themselves.

Save your money. If you want to get rich quick or at least make the attempt to do so (does that ever really work in real life?) search the Internet or take out a library book on the subject. On the other hand, if you like cutsey graphics and a lot of rah-rah-rahhhing, Ms. Robbin's new book might still be a choice. Then again, maybe not.

Overall rating for this book: Unsatisfactory. 1 out of 5.

NameCheap. Domain/Hosting Provider and more....

😣😣Update to my Namecheap review, as of October 2017, 😣😣

As of today, I am still TRYING to update my email address with Namecheap, to no avail. This has been going on for WEEKS!! Yes, you read that correctly, WEEKS.

Apparently, they have some glitch with their system not accepting some GMAIL accounts, which is the email provider I recently switched to when MYWAY went out of business.

I have sent countless emails and numerous chats to get this rectified with Namecheap, still not done and no end in sight to this insanity!!!

I don't know what has happened to Namecheap but it is beyond ridiculous how they've been treating me recently.

I had to update dozens of companies with my switchover to gmail, NONE of these other companies (big and small) have put me through anything like this.

If you hate wasting time on mundane tasks like updates to your email address etc, STEER clear of Namecheap. 😣😣😣

I will post any updates that happen but so far, VERY surprised by how they've been treating me for something that should and could have been rectified by them in minutes. Instead, it's been WEEKS and hours of my time wasted.

Do your homework if choosing a domain or hosting company.

Buyer Beware!!😣😣😣

-------------------------------------
This is my previous positive review of Namecheap, which as of 2017 is no longer applicable.

Left here only to show just how far they have slid downhill....😣😣😣😣😣

Don't be put off by the name. The only thing cheap about this company is the amount of $$$ you will have to pay.

With the launch of this new blog, I searched the Internet looking for a company that would provide what I needed to get up and running: for now, just a new domain. A reasonable price, good (IE: NON-TECHIE) support and no "junk" to wade through to get it.

First stop for me was unfortunately the domain/hosting provider that comes up again and again online: GoDaddy.

In my opinion: Daddy can just GO and take a hike!

What a mess it was to try to navigate their site. In particular, I was appalled by all the check-marks that just happen to get added (not by me) before I arrived at the check-out. I ended up with a total that was not even close to the price quoted for a domain name on their front page. I checked out, but not with anything purchased. And with a very poor impression of this "industry leader". Even the coupon code I had from another online site didn't work for this company.

I continued my search and finally found my way to NameCheap.

All I can say is: so far, very good! As a non-techie person I appreciate simple to understand answers/support when it comes to all things Internet-related. I was immediately impressed by how quickly and easily my numerous set-up questions were answered. Nothing unexpected at the check-out screen either. And yes, I did have a coupon for NameCheap and this one worked.

Check out their website if you need a domain or hosting provider or other online/blogging services. I haven't had time to check out all their offerings but based on my experiences to date, I will be back!

A Mr. Cheddar Review: The ScratchKabin

Mr. Cheddar here...

Happy New Year to all my feline friends and yes, their  human kibble-providers too.

I hope it was a great holiday for all you felines and that the gifts were plentiful and as you specified! Those humans can mess up the simplest of requests at times, snort!!!

In terms of my own "haul" one item in particular stands out that I simply had to share with all of you. Not only was the product itself marvelous, it also came in a very large cardboard box! And we all love those big boxes, don't we?

After the box was thoroughly checked out it was time to move on to the exciting contents it had packaged.

Drum roll please!
May I present, The ScratchKabin

Did I mention that it comes with a mouse! Yippee!!!!

     Talk about comfort and relaxation.
I'm in feline heaven in my new hiding/snoozing place!

And how's this for another bonus.
The outside is all carpet-covered and ready for my trusty claws.

A scratching I will go!!!

Talking about a nice scratchy item. This mouse rocks!
He is rather durable though.
I haven't finished him off  yet but tomorrow's another day. Snort!!!

Meowmie and I had only one small complaint about the new ScratchKabin. The pad and cover that came with it was IMNSHO, a bit thin. I like ample padding when I'm snoozing. I'm sure all you felines can relate! Easy fix though, Meowmie is making a new quilted cover for the pad this week. In the meantime, I'm using a cushion that I already had.
Overall, I would definitely give the ScratchKabin the Ched "Paw' s UP".

Comfort, privacy, just the right size (and I am almost 15 lbs.of muscle and fur!!!), sturdy construction, love the gorgeous Blueberry carpet and oh so sensual feeling on my claws! The added mouse was a nice touch too. Never enough critters!

The ScratchKabin is available here. Humans can read all about many other exciting products available too. And heh, what better creature to spend the moola on than your feline pal, right? Some interesting choices for outdoor felines too.
All and all, they seem to  have their thinking caps on.
Must be some felines on the staff, I'm guessing.

And btw, if they do need a  SpokesCat, look no further.
I am very photogenic and only an email away.

Chiao for now, The Ched!

Overall rating for this product: Very Good. 4 out of 5.

Welcome to My New Review Blog!

I'm just getting started here and really looking forward to sharing my personal experiences using various products and services that I've used in MY REAL LIFE.

I've always appreciated reading reviews before making purchases of any kind. I hope you find my reviews helpful, entertaining and informative. Come back soon and often. I'll be starting out with some products I've already used and written reviews for. These will be posted within the next few days. Right now, I'm just getting accustomed to all things Blogger, a transition for me from my experiences with WordPress.

Hope to see you soon, Geraldine
