Christmas Crochet Done In a Day! by Tara Cousins

I've always loved giving (and receiving!) handmade gifts. :<)

There's something so special about a present that someone took the time to make, in whatever type of craft it was created.

I recently found this short but worthwhile holiday crochet book over at Amazon:

You can read my full review here, that I just posted at Veggies, Yarns & Tails.

If you love to crochet and would like to make some handmade crochet gifts for Christmas (or for your own home!) there's still time. These are all definitely doable in a day or two.

Happy Hooking and Holidays! :<)

    1. And these crafts are actually doable in a day or two, unlike some of the other 'quickie' crochet books that are out there, with projects that take longer than that. ;<)

    1. Next on the list here. I like to celebrate the New Year just as much as Christmas. New beginnings, new possibilities, why not NY's gifts too? ;<)

  3. I"m going to have to take a look at that book. Crochet is something that is there in the back of my mind, a one day kind of thing.

    1. Let me know if you give this book a try Jen. Do you already know how to crochet? I seem to remember that you do. It's easy to learn, if you don't already though and so worth it. :>)

  4. Nice post. Over the years I have grown fonder of handmade jumpers and sweaters. :-)

    Greetings from London.

    1. Thank you. I know the term "jumper" in England doesn't have the same meaning as here in Canada. Here, it's a sleeveless dress that's worn with a blouse or sweater underneath it. Across the pond, I think it's a sleeveless sweater vest, am I right?

  5. Geraldine, a sweater is the same as a jumper only heavier, as explained in my email. Handmade gifts were always given in the family, and now I think about it I can't remember when it stopped. Probably when the arthritic fingers replaced the healthier ones....lol.

    1. Oh, thanks Val. I was wrong about the vest.

PS: Don't think I got your email, but I do have a lot of accts. LOL, maybe one I haven't checked this afternoon. ;>)
