Happy (Almost) Spring!
How's your weather been?
Here on Vancouver Island, it's been mild but lots of rainy, dark days.
I am so ready for spring, even though it's not even February yet.
How about you? Has spring fever hit???
Hope you have a wonderful week. 😀
What a beautiful haiku. The one you had featured in a magazine from the US, a few years ago, as I remember? Perfect to welcome spring too.
ReplyDeleteYes,this was featured in a US gardening magazine, as I recall. 😂 I'll have to look for that one, in our MANY boxes!lol
DeleteHey, it is 11º here, and snowy. Having lived in Oregon, I know spring comes earlier on the west coast. Do you have snowdrops or crocus yet?
ReplyDeleteHeh Sandy. It's been such a mild winter here on Vancouver Island this year. I haven't noted any flowers that are just starting to bloom but some shrubs, etc...never went dormant this year. Snow is finally supposed to arrive this weekend but it probably won't last.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have had some wild weather in the East. I miss the occasional big storm or blizzard!! Loved driving in blizzards actually. So deserted on the roads and the wind and snow whirling around!! Weather can be exciting.😂 Stay warm!!!🍵👢
Spring it on!! We have had some beautiful days here on the mountain in December and in January - lots of nice walks around the lake - our winter is really hitting more now - at least with snow at the upper levels and lots of rain. I am really really ready for spring - i'm sitting around too much and need to get out and walk walk walk. I would love to see your area some day. I do have a few trips planned one in March to Olalla WA and one in April to Central Coast area Californai - all my favorite beach towns.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya Sandy, I need to start my long walks on a daily basis, again. I blame it on the lethargy brought on by any Canadian winter. 😊 Actually, it's just laziness on my part.😣 But I love walking, I will get moving again!!! Your comment has inspired me, thanks.🌻🌼🌷
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your walks and upcoming trips.💼 👒
i'm ok with winter and i love the snow. we are getting snow today and it looks just beautiful!!
ReplyDeletei will soon be counting the days till spring!!!
I agree, snow can be so beautiful!!! And necessary too. We all need to welcome precipitation, with the threat of global warming accelerating each year. I can't believe some of the dumb comments from the Weather Network about snow, at times. It's February!!!
DeleteHave a wonderful spring Debbie🌸🌼🐣🌻
