A Mr. Cheddar Review: Innova Dry Cat Food

Mr. Cheddar here....

Yes, I have been snoozing quite a bit lately, what with all the oh so hooooot weather and all.

I love a good nap, almost as much as I love a good bowl of kibble.

And wowsa, Meowmie has recently found another winner in that department that I am just a  lovin' : Innova Dry Cat Food (regular and sigh...low-fat formula too.) Although why I would really need any kind of "low-fat" kibble is beyond my comprehension. But it seems to make Meowmie happy and it tastes great so who am I to complain.

And I do want to keep my slim physique in top form so why not watch the catories, right!!! Can't really improve on purrrfection but must try to stay the dreaded "bag belly" that seems to be a problem for so many felines I've met. Not me of course but it can happen! Yikes.

BTW, I love that babe on the Innova low-fat bag so that helped to convince me too.

Who says advertising doesn't work??? Snort.

Oh what a blue-eyed vixen....perhaps the company is reading this and can find a way for us to meet? I certainly hope so. I'm not getting any younger and the perfect female companion for me has still not appeared sigh...oh well, I live in hope. I know she's out there, somewhere...waiting for me too.

Perhaps this "bag lady" is THE ONE!!!

And remember this sage advice, my dear feline and human fans:

If it's the truth, it ain't bragging!

Innova gal, DOOOO RSVP, sooner than later. I will be waiting oh so impatiently for your email.

Anyhoo...back to this kibble. I love everything about it. Tasty, satisfying, keeps my tummy working from entry to exit (if you get my meaning snort....) in perfect harmony.

And Meowmie's given it the thumbs-up too in terms of ingredients, so no problems with getting her to bring home the goods.

Here's some information about this food from the Innova website:

For less active cats and cats prone to undesired weight gain, Innova developed our Low Fat Adult Cat Food. This unique formula provides all the same nutritional benefits of our regular Cat & Kitten Food, but with 50% less fat than Innova Cat & Kitten Food to assist with weight management in low activity or sedentary cats. In addition, we included L-carnitine to help metabolize fat and retain lean muscle mass.

Click through to their site to read the complete ingredient list and lots of other good information too.

I definitely give Innova dry cat food the "Cheddar- paws up"

And speaking of 'bag bellies" snort...here's  Meowmie's final word:

Overall rating for this product: Very Good. 4 out of 5.

A Mr. Cheddar Review: Taste of the Wild, Rocky Mountain Feline Formula (dry cat food)

I really, really am!!!!!

Heh there, Mr. Cheddar here. Yes I'm finally back!.

I wrestled the keyboard out of Meowmie's big paws/hands today and have taken over the controls to bring you a most-important kibble update.

My new go-to dry cat food of choice these days is: Taste of the Wild.

Not that I'm complaining about my previous kibble choices but heh, we all need variety and a change now and then. And Taste of the Wild really makes me feel frisky and yeah, kind of wild too! I'm lovin' it!!!! Sometimes, the humans DO get it right and that's sure been the case with Taste of the Wild. I mean, the humans may have their many, many short-comings but they've gotta pick the right food, toy, blanket....sometimes!

So, what are all the reasons that I like Taste of the Wild? Before I go any further, here's the bag so you can share it with your own humans (and they can try to get the right one too snorrttt......) Make sure they study it carefully, or copy if need be.They are so easily distracted sigh....

I don't know what all of those big words mean but I do know it tastes great! It doesn't give me spit-up problems; although I do miss that sometimes especially when a new pair of human shoes are available!!! Snort.... Just kidding, I don't really like spit-ups. My coat is looking so fine; smooth and silky. And to be oh, so indelicate, it keeps the "plumbing" in good working order, if you get my meaning!!!

And yes, I'll say it again. Taste of the Wild brings out the "wild" in me! I feel friskier these days and have lots of energy to spare. And that can be a good thing when the humans refuse to get up and attend to my many requirements at the time that I request. I think 5 A.M. sounds about right, don't you? But alas, I usually let them sleep 'til the ridiculously late hour of 7 bells, only 'cause they get so cranky when I don't!

I digress...Meowmie has returned to check out what I'm up to and wants me to add some more of the human-type reading material from the Taste of the Wild folks so here goes:

A Mr. Cheddar Review: GO Dry Cat Food

"Ouch, oh please Ched no more hair-pulling!!!  You can relax, take a chill pill....the cat pantry is well stocked with your favorite dinner fare, GO kibble."

Yes indeedy and yum, yum, yum. Mr. Cheddar LOVES GO dry cat food (in my lingo that's cat kibble).

Having been owned by many cats over the years, I've tried a lot of cat kibble brands. In recent years, I've been looking for brands with the best (and most natural) ingredients that I can find. Avoiding anything containing meat by-products, artificial colors, preservatives etc.

GO dry cat food has been one of the best, too date. Here's why:

  • Mr. Cheddar digests GO kibble very well (ie no spit-ups or stinky stools!!!).
  • His fur/coat is looking even better than before, very glossy and smooth, since switching to GO.
  • He has plenty of "get up and go".
  • His weight has levelled off at about 14 pounds which is just about perfect considering what a big boy he is (in terms of length and frame).
  • And best of all and I'll say it again. Mr. Cheddar LOVES GO!!!
Here's some information about Petcurean GO cat food  from the company's website:

"Go Natural is a superior pet food that features exceptional formulas developed with certified veterinarians and nutritionists for a revolutionary way to feed your pet 'One Diet for One Life'. Go! Natural's healthy and delicious formulas are made with juicy cuts of fresh de-boned Chicken Meat, fresh Salmon, and a host of other fresh meat protein sources.
Prepared with a blend of wholesome ingredients such as oatmeal, whole brown rice, potatoes, carrots, apples, cranberries, flax seed, garlic, yucca schidigera, sunflower oil, beta-carotene, and no fillers or by-products. Go! Natural's wholesome formulations are slowly and carefully prepared to meet the exacting standards of Holistic veterinarians and pet owners alike.
This is why we believe Go! Natural is the healthiest pet food in the world!"

I'm no expert on what constitutes a good diet for cats but I have been fortunate to have lived with many cats and they all reached a ripe old age (in terms of cats 15-22 years) without any illnesses along the way. Of course, having a good veterinarian who helped with sensible advice and believed in a more natural approach to pet care was a big part of having happy, healthy felines too.

I truly believe that buying quality pet food products made a huge difference for the better. For all our pets give us in return, I think they are worth the best food that we can afford. And affordable GO Kibble is. Check out a variety of product sizes and flavors at Amazon.

Available for dogs too. And in addition to a variety of flavors of dry foods, canned is also available for cats and dogs. Trout is Ched's absolute favorite but he "kinda likes them all"!

GOOOOO kibble!!!

Overall rating for this product: Excellent. 5 out of 5.
